DIY Hippie FLag!

So I found these flags on Pinterest (which you will come to find is the usual for me) that I absolutely loved. Ever since then I have been collecting scraps and other trinkets that I could use to recreate it! To my surprise it was a lot easier than it looked! The total project only took about 2 hours (which includes me looking for everything and rearranging it 56 times).

So this was my inspiration:

Scrap Flags

Here is my version:

So...here is what I used.

1. Flag Bandanna (For the stars)
2. Long skinny quilting strips of fabric
3. Scrap Fabric
4. Scrap Ribbon
5. Burlap
6. Fabric Markers
7. Feathers
8. Leather Cord
9. Rope
10. Hot Glue Gun

So all I did was lay out all of my scraps the way that I wanted them.

Then, I took the fabric markers and drew on the pieces of burlap.

Next I took another fabric strip and glued all the pieces to it. (The green piece at the top.)

Before folding over the green strip I placed the rope inside to hang it by.

After that I glue on the stars.

Finally, I spaced out dots of glue and glued the strips together so they were still a bit flowy but still have structure.
